What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/ Carryout position at Bravo Coney Island?
Overview
We're looking for a friendly, dependable person to join our team as a cashier. In this role, you'll help make sure our takeout and online orders are packed up correctly and go out the door on time. You'll be greeting customers, checking orders for accuracy, and keeping things running smoothly up front.
If you’re someone who likes staying busy, working with a team, and making people’s day a little better, this could be a great fit. Restaurant experience is helpful, but not required — we’re happy to train the right person!
Duties
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous cashier, customer service, or food service experience preferred (but not always required)
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash, give change, and operate a POS system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and proper handling of transactions
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to ~25 lbs)
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines is a plus
