Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Superintendent with a strong background in commercial projects to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to deliver projects from ground up to completion, lead subcontractors effectively, and navigate the complexities of inner-city construction. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of the jobsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily jobsite operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans/specs.
- Coordinate and manage all subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to meet schedule milestones.
- Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and cleanliness across all phases of construction.
- Maintain short-interval scheduling and daily logs to track site progress and communicate updates.
- Problem-solve on-site challenges, especially those related to space constraints and material logistics.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and inspectors to keep the project moving forward.
- Lead regular safety meetings and enforce OSHA standards and site-specific safety policies.
- Manage punch lists and ensure successful project closeout.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of experience as a superintendent on commercial and/or multi-family projects.
- Proven experience seeing a project from ground up to completion, ensuring successful delivery.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications.
- Proficiency in construction management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Office, or similar).
Compensation & Benefits:
