About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and manage all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs at our Lebanon, IN project site. The ideal candidate will be a proactive safety leader who ensures regulatory compliance, promotes a strong safety culture, and partners with project teams to eliminate workplace hazards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site safety efforts and ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Implement and enforce company safety policies, programs, and procedures across the project.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Provide training, toolbox talks, and coaching to field teams and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and recommend corrective measures.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and client representatives on safety initiatives.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and required regulatory records.
- Oversee fire safety measures, including fire alarm system awareness, hot work permitting, and emergency response readiness.
- Coordinate and lead site fire drills, evacuation plans, and first response protocols.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client safety representatives and regulatory bodies.
- Promote a proactive safety culture with visible leadership and employee engagement.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a dedicated construction safety professional.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Certification (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety compliance standards, and construction practices.
- Demonstrated experience with fire alarm safety programs, emergency response coordination, and hot work/fire watch permitting.
- Experience conducting training, audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
