Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm as they arrive, establishing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure accurate seating assignments
- Coordinate with the service team to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
- Provide guests with menu information, answer questions about specials, and assist with any special requests or accommodations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Handle guest inquiries via phone etiquette, providing clear information about wait times or reservations
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host or Hostess in food service or restaurant settings preferred
- Strong communication skills with an energetic and friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus, demonstrating excellent guest services skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional phone etiquette and guest relations skills to foster positive interactions
- Basic understanding of serving protocols, restaurant operations, and food service standards is beneficial
