Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring ingredients are ready for service and dishes are assembled accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and managing waste disposal efficiently.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and food items using safe lifting practices.
- Serve food to guests promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met and customer satisfaction is prioritized.
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately during service.
- Support in food running duties, delivering dishes from the kitchen to guests swiftly while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices.
- Strong cleaning skills to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and in-person customer service.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and handling procedures to ensure guest safety.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
