Braun Intertec is seeking a Construction Materials Lab Manager to join our Amarillo, TX office. Responsibilities: Safety in all areas of the Lab Team management to include staffing, time sheets, training, procedures, performance reviews, and benchmarking for your area Project Management Develop and maintain quality records for staff and field/lab equipment. Manage the quality standards, calibrations and paperwork required to maintain laboratory accreditations Perform and report all proficiency testing. Review lab testing, enter report data, and distribute reports. Work area maintenance and organization Active participation in OTIs, CI and lean initiatives, internal and external audits, calibration and training support Business development to include local trade association meetings, ASTM, internal and external client presentations, building new and maintaining existing relationships with local material suppliers 25% or more billability Leading a duty assignment in one of the following: Quality, Training, Safety, Maintenance, LIMS The ideal candidate will have: A strong safety focus and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel up to 10% Bachelor Degree preferred All candidates must have: A High School diploma or equivalent Five years or more (5 ) of related experience Appropriate technical certifications required: ACI Strength, ACI Aggregate Testing and ACI Aggregate/Soils Base Testing Preferred certifications: ACI Field, NICET, TxDOT, ICC, TXAPA A valid driver’s license with clean driving record for the last 3 years #LI-MJ1 Braun Intertec is a Drug-Free Workplace and requires all new hires to complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
