Summary of Responsibilities

The Quality Technician supports manufacturing quality by identifying and reporting non conformances, assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensuring products meet quality standards. The role involves auditing production processes, tracking defects, supporting equipment calibration, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement.

Identify and report non-conformances, and work with production teams identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
Inspect parts and processes to detect quality non‑conformances. Document non‑conformances using quality reports or systems. Participate in root cause analysis. (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone) Support development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions

Support the development and rollout of quality procedures, gages, standards, and related communications.
Assist in creating and updating quality control procedures. Validation of gages and measurement methods. Apply quality standards & specifications to production and inspection activities. Introduce new or revised quality procedures to production teams.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze quality, safety, and process data to identify and support implementation of improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to monitor results and ensure improvements drive sustained gains in quality and efficiency.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
Communicate quality issues and participate in cross‑functional problem‑solving with engineering and production teams. Provide quality feedback and help verify that process changes improve manufacturability, consistency, and meet quality requirements.

Audit production operations for compliance with procedures and quality standards.
Perform production process audits to verify compliance with documented procedures and quality standards. Document audit findings and non‑conformances per ISO/IATF requirements and support corrective action follow‑up.

Track and analyze quality issues and defects to support problem solving and continuous improvement.
Record and analyze quality issue and defect data to identify trends. Support root cause analysis and monitor corrective action effectiveness. Communicate findings to drive cross‑functional continuous improvement.

Assist in the tracking and calibration of equipment.
Maintain and verify equipment calibration records and documentation. Track calibration schedules, coordinate with internal teams or vendors. Identify, report, and support resolution of out‑of‑calibration equipment.

Support cross‑functional communication for non‑conformities.
Identify, document, and implement immediate containment for internal product non‑conformities. Escalate issues promptly to appropriate departments and leadership Coordinate cross‑functional communication to support timely investigation and resolution.

Technical Skills/Competencies (Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience)


  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control or related field.
  • Quality System knowledge and experience preferred, ISO9001, IATF16949.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality inspection, document creation, data collection, and problem solving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Experienced with MS Office Suite – Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Print Reading/Basic GD&T Knowledge, CMM knowledge preferred
  • Root Cause Analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) Experience
  • Gaging Methods, Application, Evaluation and Calibration

  • Ability to lift 15 pounds and regularly perform standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, and hand‑dexterity tasks
