The Role
As a Bilingual Sales Associate / Pawnbroker, you are the face of Braswell & Son. You will build real relationships with our guests, help them buy and sell quality merchandise, and guide people through loans with patience and empathy — often during moments that matter to them. Because we serve a growing Spanish-speaking community, your ability to connect in both English and Spanish directly improves the experience for the guests who count on us. What You’ll Do
- Welcome every guest and build lasting, trust-based relationships
- Buy, sell, and evaluate jewelry, gold, luxury goods, and other quality merchandise
- Confidently close sales while always keeping the guest’s needs first
- Walk guests through the loan process with clarity, patience, and genuine empathy
- Serve our English- and Spanish-speaking guests fluently in both languages
- Maintain accurate records and follow all company policies and legal procedures
- Keep the store sharp, organized, and reflective of our luxury standard
- A natural relationship-builder who makes people feel genuinely welcome
- A confident closer who can guide a sale from first hello to final handshake
- Someone who leads with empathy, especially with guests seeking a loan
- Proactive and self-motivated — you take initiative and own your results
- A stable work history that shows commitment and follow-through
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- A team player who values trust, integrity, and an inclusive, welcoming culture
- Must be at least 21 years old (required for handling firearm transactions under federal law)
- Ability to pass a background check; employment is contingent on results, consistent with federal and state firearms regulations
- Willingness to comply with all federal, Arkansas, and Tennessee regulations governing pawn and firearm transactions
- A polished, professional appearance every day — a dress shirt and tie, or equivalent professional business attire — to deliver the luxury
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to represent the Braswell & Son brand with pride
- $16–$20 per hour base pay, plus commission — strong performers earn more
