The Pre-K Floater will support our preschool classrooms by stepping into various teaching roles, providing care, and facilitating a nurturing learning environment for young children aged 4-5 years. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the daily operations of Pre-K classrooms, providing support to lead teachers and contributing to a positive learning environment.
- Float between classrooms as needed, ensuring that all children receive attention and care during transitions and various activities.
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap times, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and classroom activities that align with curricular goals and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, including regular sanitization of materials and toys.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff about children's progress and any concerns.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, classroom supplies inventory, and parent communication as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
**Qualifications:**
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
- Knowledge and/or experience with NAEYC standards preferred.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare, school, or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and manage varying needs and dynamics of children.
- First Aid and CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- A passionate and patient approach to working with young children.
