Network Administrator

Responsibilities

Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Network Administrator in Atlanta, GA.

This key position is based on-site at our corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Tier 1 network troubleshooting and research.
• Configure gateways, switches, and access points for jobsite network deployments.
• Work with Field Services and Network Engineers to identify and resolve recurring networking issues.
• Monitor, maintain, and update Aruba network equipment software and firmware.
• Document network configuration changes using Lucidchart, Confluence, and GitHub.
• Manage Teams Phone.
• Willingness to learn network principles, routing and switching, telephony, scripting and automation.
• Work with Field Services and Network Engineers to identify recurring issues from support or other sources.
• Administer established systems and services.
• Perform basic troubleshooting.
• Write basic scripts and automation processes to improve workflows.
• Configure network equipment to facilitate secure and efficient communication.
• Secure networks with proper protocols and firewalls.
• Provide circuit utilization metrics.
• Predict need for circuit increases.
• Manage network patching and updates.
• Ensure all work is executed in a secure manner.
  
  

Qualifications

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in technology related field or relevant certifications
• Ability to communicate successfully with varied audiences, including end users
• Basic understanding of PowerShell and Python for network automation
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and configurations
• Basic understanding of network security measures and wireless technologies
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
