Position Overview
Brascia Builders Inc. is seeking a full-time qualified Estimator (preferably with Project Manager experience) to join our team in our Long Beach, California office. Under the direction of the Chief Estimator, the Estimator will provide lead and supporting estimating services.

- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs.
- Knowledge and understanding of unit costs and production rates for self-performed tasks (concrete, carpentry, finishes, etc).
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plans/systems.
- Generate trade scopes.
- Prepare preliminary project schedules for bidding purposes.
- Prepare subcontractor invitation lists.
- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors for specified materials, products and scopes of work, identifying qualified subcontractors.
- Analyze subcontractor proposals for scope and price.
- Attend project site pre-bid meetings and site tours.
- Prepare project bid summaries including trades and scopes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be assertive.
- Must be able to travel within state as necessary.
- BS Degree in Construction Management or related discipline
- At least five years of estimating experience
- Excellent MS Word, Adobe, PDF, Bluebeam, Project, Excel, Outlook, Procore skills required.
- Exceptional computer skills required
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Some job site travel required
