Overview
Brantwood Camp is a seasonal residential summer camp that enrolls inner-city and low-income campers between the ages of 10 and 15. Every camper who attends Brantwood receives a generous scholarship.
Brantwood is seeking a camp nurse for its Girls' Campus from July 31st to August 16th.
Ideally, candidates would live on site, but commuter candidates will be considered.
Candidates who have experience in pediatrics or school nursing are preferred.
Position Overview
The Camp Nurse provides medical oversight and day-to-day healthcare services to campers (ages 10-15) and staff (ages 16 and up). This includes overseeing the storage, organization, and dispensing of medications.
Description of Healthcare Services
1. Caring for sick or injured campers & staff throughout the day
2. Responding to health-related emergencies that may occur within the scope of ability and license.
3. Overseeing the organization, storage, and administration of medications. This includes keeping an up-to-date and accurate medication log.
4. Reviewing and following the Standing Orders provided by our overseeing physician.
5. Maintaining health logs in accordance with the State of New Hampshire and American Camp Association guidelines.
6. Promoting a healthy and safe Camp environment.
