Education Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Current experience (2 years) in family centered neonatal care and stabilization
- Completion of Perinatal Certificate/NICU
- Currently N.R.P certificate
- Current STABLE certificate
- *Breastfeeding certificate or Board Certified Lactation Consultant
- *Able to perform neonatal I.V. starts and venipuncture
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a team focus
- Creative problem solver with a customer focus and patient friendly approach
- Proven critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi task and set priorities in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to establish work relationships with external partners
- Excellent patient assessment skills
