What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Technician position at Branson R-4 School District?
- Knowledge: Understanding of Microsoft Windows, Chrome OS, IOS including various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Products, Google Suite, etc.
- Advanced Technical Support: Provide Tier 2 troubleshooting and repair for a diverse hardware ecosystem, including PCs, Chromebooks, iPads, VOIP phones, and interactive flat panels across multiple district sites.
- Installation & Upgrades: Lead the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software, including performing internal component upgrades (SSD/Video cards) and maintaining network-connected equipment.
- Incident Management: Resolve escalated tickets from Tier 1 staff, documenting all troubleshooting steps and resolutions within the district’s work order system to ensure data integrity.
- System Maintenance: Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and evaluate new systems or equipment for viability, providing technical recommendations to management and end-users.
- Training & Documentation: Act as a technical lead on specialized projects, creating clear technical documentation and providing hands-on training to staff on district-supported software.
