Urbana Varro Hospitality Management Co., LLC, is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Sales to lead and grow the sales efforts for the Branson Hillside Hotel & Theatre in Branson, Missouri.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a hospitality sales professional who understands the Branson market and is excited to build, lead, and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for a well-established property with significant growth potential. We are seeking a candidate with strong local market knowledge, established industry relationships, and a proven ability to drive revenue through group, leisure, corporate, association, tour, and entertainment-related business segments.
Position Summary
The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing all sales initiatives to maximize revenue and market share for the hotel and theatre operation. This individual will provide strategic leadership, cultivate key business relationships, identify new revenue opportunities, and oversee a Sales Coordinator while building a high-performing sales culture.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve occupancy, ADR, and revenue goals.
- Prospect, solicit, and secure new business opportunities across all market segments.
- Maintain and expand relationships with local, regional, and national accounts.
- Drive group, tour, SMERF, corporate, association, and entertainment-related business.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and sales reports.
- Collaborate with operational leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences and client satisfaction.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the Sales Coordinator.
- Represent the property at industry events, networking functions, and community organizations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive hotel sales experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Previous Director of Sales experience required.
- Candidates currently residing in or having extensive experience within the Branson market are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
- Established relationships within the Branson hospitality, tourism, entertainment, and group sales communities.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with hotel sales systems, CRM platforms, and revenue-focused sales strategies.
- Ability to work independently while leading and developing a sales team.
- Stong computer skills
- Delphi experience preferred
