Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, and residential painting. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where leadership and customer service skills are valued. The Maintenance Technician will be instrumental in maintaining safety standards, improving equipment performance, and supporting continuous operational excellence.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance throughout the hotel property to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including lighting, outlets, switches, breakers, and minor wiring repairs (within scope and licensing requirements)
- Inspect, maintain, and assist with repair of HVAC systems, including guest room units, thermostats, filters, and basic heating and cooling issues
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders with a sense of urgency and professionalism
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, theater spaces, restaurant areas, and exterior grounds to identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, drywall patching, painting, carpentry, door and lock repairs, and fixture replacements
- Maintain life-safety systems by reporting issues with fire alarms, emergency lighting, exit signs, and other safety equipment
- Assist with setup and breakdown for theater or event spaces as needed
- Coordinate with management and outside vendors for specialized repairs or larger projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety regulations, and local/state codes
- Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel, resort, or commercial maintenance preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, breakers, switches, and basic troubleshooting (within applicable licensing requirements)
- “Familiarity with HVAC” strongly preferred.”
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, including preventative maintenance, filter changes, thermostats, guest room units, and basic diagnostics preferred but not required
- EPA Certification (Universal or Type I/II) preferred but not required
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Understanding of safety practices, OSHA standards, and local building codes
- Reliable, punctual, and able to respond to maintenance issues with a sense of urgency
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing a STELLAR guest experience

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
