Job Title:Shop Yard Maintenance / Parts Runner

Location: Hampton, VA

Reports to:Shop Foreman
Major Role and Purpose:

• Perform general cleaning of the shop facility and the shop yard. Deliver parts needed for the shop and assigned job locations.

• Perform general cleaning of the shop facility and the shop yard.
• Empty shop trash cans and bins.
• Use of a water truck to water down the shop yard for dust control.
• Run a sweeper on the road for dust control.
• Deliver parts needed for the shop and assigned job locations.
• Perform all job duties in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Gain an understanding of basic parts, processes, and proper maintenance procedures as instructed by knowledgeable shop staff.
• Aid senior level mechanics and shop staff on larger projects.
• Participate in training and other learning opportunities.
• Perform all other job duties deemed necessary.

• High School DiplomaPreferred.

• Previous shop experienceand parts delivery experience preferred.

• Effective communication and organization skills.
• Must have a valid Driver's License in good standing.

• Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching, and squatting.
• Walking or standing may occupy the entire day.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Potential exposure to extremes of hot or cold weather.
• Overtime work may be required.
