Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking a counselor to provide supportive person-centered counseling services to individuals in a compassionate way. Please look at the highlights below:

What You'll Do At BCCS:

• Be responsible for a caseload of clients, as identified by program requirements and in accordance with state regulations.
• Completes required evaluations and assessments.
• Documents all clinical services and interventions performed within the clients ‘electronic record.
• Monitors client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintains contact with outside providers to coordinate care.
• Confer with the Clinical Supervisor on a daily basis for casing.
• Participates in weekly treatment team meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of assessment and counseling/therapy principles
• Considerable knowledge of population being served and available resources
• Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document progress of clients
• May require crisis intervention to emergency situations
• Skill in establishing rapport with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Qualifications for the position are:

• Minimum associate degree with CADC or bachelor's degree
• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field
• 1 year experience in the Substance Abuse Field and/or Mental Health
• Within 2 years, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).

Salary:

• From $21/hour
• Commensurate with experience, education, and certification / licensure

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 5am-1pm
