BUS DRIVER

HOURLY RATE: $21.65 - $23.25 (DEPENDING ON YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)

SCHOOL YEAR EMPLOYEE; DAYS AND HOURS MAY VARY

Description: Brandywine Community Schools is seeking a bus driver. A driver is responsible for transporting students to and from authorized destinations during the school year. This position may be asked to cover transportation after the normal school day for athletics and after school events. Ensuring the safety of the student passengers while in a school vehicle is our number one priority.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters
• Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities
• Ability to communicate in both oral and written directions and instructions
• Ability to develop professional working relationships with staff, parents, students, and community members
• Ability to work as a team with others

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• CDL license Class B, with the P&S endorsements, and no restrictions (air brakes) is a must
• Candidate must complete a training session with our on staff contact
• Candidate must agree to authorize Brandywine Community Schools to conduct a criminal history search via fingerprinting
