Evening intensive outpatient therapist

Overview
Brandywine Center for Mental Health is a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program opening in Hockessin Delaware. Our program is dedicated to offering comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals struggling with mood disorders, thought disorders, and trauma. Our approach to treating mental health involves combining individualized treatment plans, various therapies, medication stabilization, life skills training, and a diverse range of holistic modalities.

We are seeking a therapist to run an evening IOP program (5:30 to 8:30pm, three days per week)

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, social work interventions, and behavioral health strategies.
• Facilitate intake procedures and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage casework responsibilities including care coordination, home & community care planning, and resource linkage.
• Document clinical notes, progress reports, and treatment outcomes accurately within medical records systems.
• Engage in patient education regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and support continuity of services.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and social work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, clinical counseling, and diagnostic evaluation.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and proficient in medical documentation and terminology.
• Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics or aging issues counseling preferred.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, individual/group therapy facilitation, case management, and home & community care coordination.
• Knowledge of Christian counseling approaches is a plus for certain settings.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from various backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
