Brandt Veterinary Services is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant who is looking for a long-term position in a fast-paced, team-oriented practice.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
- Ability to lift and assist with handling animals safely
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
Preferred
- Previous veterinary, animal care, kennel, or pet industry experience
- Customer service or receptionist experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment
- Fast-paced veterinary practice
- Exposure to animals, noise, odors, animal waste, and medical procedures
- Risk of bites and scratches when handling animals
- Physical work including lifting, bending, cleaning, and standing for long periods
Receptionist Duties
- Greet clients and provide professional, compassionate customer service
- Answer phones and schedule appointments, respond to client inquiries
- Admit and discharge patients according to hospital procedures
- Communicate treatment plans and care per doctor instructions
- Process prescription requests, invoices and payments
- Maintain accurate patient records
Veterinary Assistant Duties
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures
- Safely restrain animals for examinations and treatments
- Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces
- Assist with laboratory testing, including fecal exams, heartworm testing, urinalysis, and cytology
- Support radiographs and routine treatment procedures
- Monitor hospitalized patients and document observations
- Clean and maintain equipment and treatment areas
General Support
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory
- Support coworkers and contribute to a positive team culture
- Help wherever needed to ensure quality patient care
Schedule
- Full-time
- 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
- Weekend availability as needed
