Summary/Objective

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, supports the liquid packaging line, meeting required specifications.

Essential Functions

  • Follows production schedule; Follow batch sheet instructions to accurately and efficiently set up, weigh, measure, and package liquid material.
  • Loads packaging equipment with containers such as jugs and boxes.
  • Monitors packaged products, performing quality assurance functions such as checking cap for seal.
  • Ensure labels, hangers, booklets are properly positioned on finished product.
  • Cases product and stacks pallet.
  • Safely clean, secure and maintain equipment and work areas as required. Participate in housekeeping (e.g. sweep, mop, dust, put items away in proper areas) in the facility.

  • Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP's, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment. Use of a respirator is required for certain batches.

  • Reports any needed repairs or special maintenance to your supervisor immediately.

  • Wears clean uniform and be neat in appearance each day.
  • May operate forklift, as assigned.
  • Performs all other duties assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the worker is frequently required to reach with both hands and arms. Speaking and hearing is required. The worker is required to stand, walk, and climb. The worker is required to use both hands and all fingers; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on occasion. The worker must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Passing a respirator fitting and pulmonary fit test is required.

Classification/Expected Hours of Employment

  • This position is a full-time position that is non-exempt. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but must remain flexible to meet the needs of customers by working mandatory weekday and weekend overtime as needed. Work adjusted hours as business necessitates.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Production experience preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate accurate math calculations.
  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
  • Ability to be trained as a certified forklift operator and safely operate a forklift.
  • Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected and required.

Pay Range: $18 - $19 an hour
