What are the responsibilities and job description for the Liquid Blend position at Brandt Consolidated, Inc.?
Reporting to the Formulation Supervisor, the Liquid Formulator operates chemical processing equipment to produce standard or custom products in accordance with product specifications.
Essential Functions
- Follows production schedule; follows batch sheet instructions to accurately and efficiently set up, weigh, measure, and mix raw materials in proper sequence; adds ingredients either manually or with pumps and meters.
- Accurately record required information on batch sheet; rotate stock, track inventory, submit samples to QA.
- Prepare approved finished product for container, label, and shipping.
- Transfers liquids to tanker trucks and stationary tanks.
- Performs packaging line duties including filling containers, labeling, and casing finished product.
- Performs activities to safely clean, secure and maintain equipment and work areas as required. Participate in housekeeping (e.g. sweep, mop, dust, put items away in proper areas) in the facility.
- Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP’s, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment. Use of a respirator is required for certain batches.
- Reports any needed repairs or special maintenance to your supervisor immediately.
- Wears a clean uniform and is neat in appearance each day.
- Performs all other duties assigned.

Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
- This position is a full-time position that is non-exempt. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but must remain flexible to meet the needs of customers by working mandatory weekday and weekend overtime as needed. Work adjusted hours as business necessitates.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Two years of batching experience, preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate accurate math calculations.
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
- Ability to be trained as a certified forklift operator and safely operate a forklift.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, experience with valves, pumps, flow meters, condensers, sensors, PLC's filters, etc.
- Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected and required.
