Job Overview
Brandsymbol is seeking a Market Research Specialist to support and execute quantitative research projects, including survey design, programming, fielding, and reporting. This role works closely with the Director of Market Research to manage fieldwork, coordinate vendor relationships, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time.
This role will also play a key role in building and managing Brandsymbol’s proprietary panel of healthcare professionals (physicians, pharmacists, nurses) used for pharmaceutical naming, name safety testing, and regulated healthcare research.
The ideal candidate is hands-on with online research tools, highly organized, and interested in growing into a more client-facing research role over time.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research Execution:
• Design and program online surveys (Alchemer, Qualtrics, or similar)
• Translate research objectives into structured questionnaires
• Manage fieldwork end-to-end, including vendor coordination and sample management
• Request and manage bids from healthcare panel vendors (e.g., Sermo, M3, Dynata)
• Monitor data collection, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality
• Manage quotas, targeting, and respondent specifications
• Review data outputs, tabulate results, and develop initial insights
• Support development of client-ready reports and PowerPoint presentations
• Maintain project trackers and timelines (ClickUp or similar)
• Participate in internal and client meetings as needed
Proprietary Panel Development & Management:
• Support growth of proprietary healthcare panel
• Execute recruitment initiatives for physicians, pharmacists, and nurses
• Maintain panel database, segmentation, and accuracy
• Track engagement, participation, and panel health metrics
• Coordinate incentives, communications, and outreach campaigns
• Identify gaps and opportunities to improve panel coverage
Operational & Process Support:
• Improve efficiency in research workflows and fielding processes
• Document and standardize research operations and panel processes
Qualifications
Required:
• 2–5 years' experience in market research or related field
• Experience managing or supporting fieldwork
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience/coursework in statistics.
• Experience with data analysis (Excel, crosstabs)
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience with survey tools (Alchemer, Qualtrics, etc.)
• Experience with healthcare/pharmaceutical research
• Experience working with panel vendors (Sermo, M3, Dynata)
• Interest in client interaction and presentations
• Bachelor’s degree
