Key Responsibilities
Media Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets.
- Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
- Coordinate and manage media inquiries and interview requests.
- Develop and execute PR strategies and campaigns to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Plan and oversee press events, including press conferences, product launches, and promotional events.
- Identify and engage with key influencers and opinion leaders to amplify brand messages.
- Create compelling content for various channels, including social media, blogs, and company newsletters.
- Ensure all communications align with the company’s brand voice and messaging.
- Manage the company’s social media accounts, creating and curating engaging content.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to handle potential public relations crises.
- Act as the primary point of contact for crisis communication, ensuring timely and effective response.
- Monitor media coverage and report on PR metrics and campaign effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on PR activities and outcomes.
- Analyze PR outcomes and use insights to improve future campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent communication and alignment with company goals.
- Support internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or a related role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong media relations skills with a proven track record of securing media coverage.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and PR tools.
- Experience with crisis communication and management is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and SEO principles.
- Experience working in a PR agency or similar environment.
- Knowledge of industry-specific PR trends and best practices.
- Certification in Public Relations (CPR) or Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is a plus.
