Responsibilities
- Maintain precise and organized financial records using QuickBooks.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis, and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Support payroll processing activities, including calculating wages, deductions, and preparing related reports.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Generate detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets, to support management decision-making.
Skills
- Proven experience working with QuickBooks Online.
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and tax-related compliance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with public accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform bank reconciliations and account analysis accurately.
- Ability to handle high-volume data entry using 10-key typing skills efficiently.
- Solid grasp of financial concepts including budgeting, account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial report writing.
