Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled healthcare professional to join our team in the role of
Duties
- Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and vital signs
- Support clinical staff with procedures such as medication administration, X-ray assistance, and basic life support (BLS) protocols
- Document patient information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure proper ICD coding for diagnoses
- Monitor and record vital signs, perform physical assessments related to physiology and anatomy knowledge
- Support hospital medicine activities across inpatient units, including Geriatrics, PICU, OR, and emergency medicine settings
- Assist in emergency situations within Level I or Level II trauma centers by providing critical support during trauma response
- Facilitate patient service activities such as scheduling appointments, patient education, and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies related to infection control, safety protocols, and documentation standards
- Support outpatient clinics by preparing examination rooms and assisting healthcare providers during patient visits
Requirements
- Prior experience in hospital or clinic environments; experience in emergency medicine or trauma centers is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration
- Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with medical-surgical procedures
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray or OR experience are a plus
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including Geriatrics and Pediatrics (PICU)
- Ability to work efficiently in inpatient or outpatient settings across various specialties such as internal medicine or urgent care
- Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and clinical support tasks
