Primary Care Physician

Join a well-established practice that has been proudly providing premier primary care services to the Tampa community for over 25 years. We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our stable, physician-led group.

This role focuses heavily on senior care within our highly successful value-based model. Candidates must be thoroughly familiar with Medicare Managed Care (Medicare Advantage), risk adjustment (HCC coding), and quality metrics (HEDIS/Stars). This is a pure outpatient role designed for excellent work-life balance, featuring a deeply rooted patient panel, an experienced support staff, and zero hospital rounding or nursing home call coverage.

Our model prioritizes time with patients, strong care coordination and personalized approach that improves outcomes while lowering total cost of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Senior-Focused Care: Provide comprehensive primary care to a predominantly geriatric patient panel under Medicare Managed Care plans. You will typically see 12-15 patients per day that allows you to focus on quality care, patient satisfaction, education and building meaningful relationships with patients and caregivers
• Value-Based Medicine: Focus on preventive care, chronic disease management, and minimizing unnecessary hospitalizations.
• Documentation & Coding: Utilize accurate HCC documentation and coding practices to reflect patient acuity.
• Care Coordination: Partner with our long-tenured interdisciplinary team of case managers to manage high-risk patients

Qualfications

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Experience: Proven experience working within Medicare Advantage / Managed Care models.
• Call Requirements: No hospital or nursing home call responsibilities.
