Brandon Residential Treatment Center is seeking enthusiastic, reliable Seasonal Summer Counselors to support boys and young men in a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact while gaining hands-on experience in youth development and mental health.
Position Responsibilities:
Build positive, supportive relationships with residents using a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
Lead and participate in daily routines, recreational activities, and summer programming.
Support residents in developing life skills such as teamwork, communication, and self-care.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment by assisting with meals, laundry, and general upkeep.
Participate in group activities and facilitate informal discussions promoting social and emotional growth.
Complete basic documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Minimum one year experience working in human services/ mental health field preferred.
Must have a valid ID and CORI/ DCF background check.
Able to participate in physical interventions.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM
Salary:
Starting at $18.00/ hour
w/ MAP Certification: $21.00/ hour
