What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner– Sports Medicine Specialty position at Branding 2?
Primary Duties Include:
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic sports and activity-related injuries, focusing on shoulders, elbows and knees.
- Working in our Huntsville, Madison, and Decatur office locations on a rotational basis
- Running concurrent and independent clinics
- Referring for diagnostic treatments/tests
- Evaluating x-ray, CT scan, and MRI results
- Ordering and reviewing lab results
- Providing clear, concise, and accurate information in EMR
- Demonstrating strong teamwork
- Using EMR and other computer systems efficiently
- Assisting in surgery
Additional Details:
- Minimal call duties and weekend obligations
- This is an office and surgical-based position with a typical five-day work week
Candidate Requirements:
- NCCPA-certified or CRNP with First Assist
- Highly self-motivated and driven with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently
- Confident in making clinical decisions and managing patient care
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with the orthopedic surgeon and healthcare team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Experience or interest in sports medicine and orthopaedics is a plus but not mandatory
- Desire for continued learning
- Compassionate and patient-centered with good interpersonal skills
