Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs to facilitate efficient service delivery
- Explain repair procedures, estimated costs, and timelines clearly and transparently to ensure customer understanding and confidence
- Collaborate closely with technicians to review vehicle diagnostics, mechanical issues, and repair options such as brake repair, suspension work, tire service, or oil changes
- Utilize auto estimating software to prepare detailed repair orders and service recommendations that include upselling opportunities like alignments or shocks & struts replacements
- Manage the flow of vehicles through the service lane efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation for all services performed
- Promote additional services by identifying customer needs related to automotive repair, including diesel engine repairs or air brake systems when appropriate
Experience
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and customer service excellence
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, and suspension components
- Knowledge of auto estimating tools, service writing procedures, and automotive repair processes such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, tire services, shocks & struts replacements, and auto body repairs
- Experience in upselling automotive services confidently while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers
- Familiarity with automotive sales techniques and vehicle maintenance recommendations to enhance customer trust and loyalty
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers of varying backgrounds
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately along with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple service orders simultaneously
