Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily operations related to golf course maintenance, including mowing, edging, and trimming to ensure pristine conditions.
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping activities such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, and irrigation system management to maintain healthy turf and plant life.
- Lead a team of groundskeepers and maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of work.
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water use efficiency while maintaining optimal turf health.
- Oversee tree care activities including pruning, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetic value.
- Coordinate construction projects such as bunker renovations or pathway improvements with contractors and internal teams.
- Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify maintenance needs and implement appropriate solutions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards related to landscaping, lawn care, and pesticide use.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and project progress.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, turf management, or related fields within a golf course or similar environment.
- Supervising experience with a demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, irrigation systems, gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and general maintenance procedures.
- Experience with construction projects related to landscaping or course improvements is preferred.
- Skills in tree care management including pruning and health assessments.
- Leadership qualities with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Relevant certifications or training in horticulture, turf management, or landscape construction are advantageous.
