What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworker position at Brand Farms LLC?
Duties may include: Workers will assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: Plant, cultivate, weed, harvest, wash, sort produce including bagging and boxing produce for market. Use hand-tools for weeding and carry ladders and buckets. Clean work and storage areas & other related Farmworker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).
Crops: Apples, sweet corn, squash, pumpkins.
Nonsmoking/tobacco/drug environment.
Overtime Pay: As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year
Possible weekend/holiday work offered.
