Position Overview:
Branch Construction Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of equipment, including our company truck fleet, heavy equipment including skid steers, excavators, trailers, and vac trucks and crane trucks. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, proficiency with computers, and excellent documentation skills to ensure all maintenance and repairs are properly tracked and reported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on company fleet and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on company fleet trucks and equipment.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records, ensuring all documentation is clear, complete, and timely.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and computers to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Collaborate with the fleet management team to schedule repairs, order parts, and maintain equipment availability.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
- Assist in training or mentoring less-experienced technicians when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience working on vac trucks, crane trucks, heavy machinery, skid steers, excavators, and fleet vehicles.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in computer use, including diagnostic software, maintenance tracking systems, and documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate recordkeeping.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
Preferred Attributes:
- ASE or other industry certifications in heavy equipment or fleet maintenance.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and fleet management systems.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism in interacting with team members and management.
