Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and prevent delays in service
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning items under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Help with catering setup and cleanup for events or banquet functions, ensuring all items are organized and ready for service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times
Skills
- Experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning protocols, food handling safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and bending frequently
- Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment usage
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during high-pressure situations
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are met consistently
