A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LASER OPERATOR
- Prepare laser machines for operation by selecting the appropriate settings, loading materials, and calibrating equipment.
- Operator laser machines to perform cutting, welding, or engraving tasks according to job orders and specifications.
- Monitor the production process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of finished products, adjust machine settings as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on laser machines to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning lenses, replacing parts, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper procedures for handling materials and operating machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job orders, machine settings, and quality control checks.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to coordinate production schedule, troubleshoot problems, and implement process improvements.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in laser technology is preferred.
- Previous experience operating laser cutting, welding, or engraving machines in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
