Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Foreman/Lead Technician to oversee daily operations within our automotive service center. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of automotive technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of repairs
- Oversee repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, steering, and powertrain components
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, shop policies, and industry standards during all repair activities
- Conduct quality control inspections on completed work to guarantee optimal performance and safety
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service documentation for each vehicle
- Mentor team members by providing technical guidance, training on new technologies such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and promoting continuous learning
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments
- Proficiency in reading schematics and automotive electrical systems for diagnostics and repairs
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical repair tools
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Valid certifications in automotive diagnostics or relevant technical training preferred
