K-8 ELA Tutor / In-Person - Summer 2025
As a Tutor with Braintrust Tutors, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students by providing high-quality math interventions. Your role will involve working with students individually or in small groups (1:4) during school hours. You will receive onboarding and materials to effectively implement our intervention programs, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
How Tutoring Works:
We are partnering with the NYC Summer Rising Program this summer from July 2-August 15th. Tutoring will be during the day, four days a week. More details on days/time will be coming in late spring. If you are an educator looking for summer work, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in math with K-8th grade students.
- Implement our intervention programs according to the provided guidelines.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and progress using our reporting platform.
- Communicate regularly with our Operations team and school staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- Two years of teaching/tutoring experience with school-aged children.
- Active or Expired Teaching License.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
- Punctual
- Reliable transportation
