Position Title: Full-Time Teacher
Job Type: Full-Time (10 month)
Location: TBD based on Need
Note: This position includes both in-person and virtual responsibilities.
Working Hours: The expected workload will be approximately 40 hours a week.
- Virtual Teaching: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Mountain Time (MT).
- In-Person State Testing: As scheduled, varying throughout the school year.
- Administrative Duties: Flexible schedule, approximately 1/3 of overall working hours. This could include Faculty meetings.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Full-Time Teacher to work closely with students and engage in a variety of instructional and administrative tasks. This position requires a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage both virtual and in-person classroom environments. The teacher will spend approximately 2/3 of their time directly with students and 1/3 of their time handling other administrative responsibilities. Preference will be given to current Braintree teachers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Student-Centered Duties (Approx. 2/3 Time)-Some combination of the following:
Homeroom Management:
- Serve as the homeroom teacher for a designated group of students.
- Caseload is dependent on other duties needed by Braintree.
- Add state licenses as needed.
- All duties required of a Homeroom/virtual Teacher
Virtual Instruction:
- Conduct virtual classes for students Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (MT).
- Utilize online learning platforms and tools to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through virtual assessments, discussions, and projects.
- All duties required of a Virtual Teachers
In-Person and Virtual State Testing:
- Support the state Test team as needed with proctoring state-mandated standardized testing for students as required.
- Ensure that testing protocols are strictly followed and that students are supported throughout the testing process.
- Coordinate with administration for testing schedules, materials, and results reporting.
- Travel to Test locations as needed.
- Other testing duties as assigned
Administrative and Other Duties (Approx. 1/3 Time):
- Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with school or program administration tasks such as record-keeping, reporting, and student evaluations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to improve educational strategies and practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Certification: Valid teaching certification for the State needed, relevant grade level(s) and subjects.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of digital learning platforms and instructional technologies.
- Excellent classroom management skills in both virtual and physical settings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators and staff members.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities and administrative tasks.
