Neuropsychological Technician / Assistant
Maitland, FL
Part Time or Full Time (24 - 40 hours per week)
The neuropsychological technician position is designed for individuals who have completed their undergraduate degree in Psychology and are looking for experience in clinical psychology and neuropsychology. No prior experience necessary. A commitment of at least one year is required due to the time invested in the candidate’s training. Prior employees in this position have gained experience to allow them to move forward to their top choice of graduate programs.
Neuropsychological Technician Position includes:
- Completion of intakes for new patient referrals and scheduling of patient appointments
- Review of historical patient information and integration into clinical documents
- Use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Test administration and scoring of cognitive and psychological tests for adult patients
- Scoring of protocols with conversion from raw scores to statistical scores
- Charting of statistical findings using Excel/Google Sheets
- Conversion of data to MS Word/Google Docs to assist with clinical documentation
- Daily review of voicemails and returning phone calls to patients and referral sources
- Scanning records for electronic archival storage
- Research of various disorders
Ideal Candidate would have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology
- Interest in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, and neurologic disorders
- Desire to work directly with patients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be personable and have positive social interactions
- Have the ability to establish rapport and interact with patients
- Possess strong computer skills and have knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, and Google Workspace including Drive, Keep, Docs and Sheets
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to various responsibilities
- Must be able to type
