Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough neurological evaluations, including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
- Interpret medical imaging such as MRI, CT scans, and neurodiagnostic tests to diagnose neurological conditions accurately.
- Develop individualized treatment plans encompassing pharmacologic management, procedural interventions, and rehabilitative strategies.
- Perform specialized procedures including lumbar punctures, nerve blocks, and botulinum toxin treatments for applicable conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient and outpatient settings to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR systems to document patient encounters meticulously.
- Stay current with advancements in neurology through clinical research, continuing education, and participation in professional development activities.
- Personal injury experience not required but preferred
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Neurology from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license for practice within the designated jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in inpatient neurology, neurocritical care, or outpatient neurology clinics.
- Familiarity with medical imaging modalities including CT and MRI interpretation.
- Knowledge of EMR systems such as Epic or other healthcare IT platforms.
- Strong understanding of physiology, neuroanatomy, and clinical evaluation techniques.
- Experience with procedures like lumbar punctures, neurodiagnostic testing, and interventional radiology techniques related to neurology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex conditions clearly to patients and team members.
