The Brain Injury Center of Ventura County is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and care for individuals who have experienced brain injuries. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those impacted by brain injury living in Ventura County.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team and provide essential support to brain injury survivors under our care. The Caregiver will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, offering emotional support, and promoting their overall well-being. Caregivers are essential to providing 24/7 residential care to brain injury survivors at BIC Brain Injury Home at Banner Ave, a 6-Bed Adult Residential Facility (CDSS LIC# 567609739). Staff provide assistance with each residents' daily living activities, medications, meals, housekeeping, structured activities and implementing residents' care plans.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver, preferably with brain injury survivors or individuals with neurological conditions
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus
- First Aid certification required (we will reimburse as needed)
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check (Live Scan) (we will reimburse as needed)
- Ability to pass physical and TB test requirements (we will reimburse as needed)
