Job Description: Braille Abilities, a growing TVI/O&M owned company, is looking for TVIs in Los Angeles County and Riverside County. Employees will be itinerant from their home offices and will serve students in the field. We are looking for self-starters who are excellent with communication and documentation. -Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities -Applicants must be available between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM -Competitive pay, excellent benefits, and professional development opportunities TVIs are expected to: -Be self-starters -Work with students with a wide variety of needs, including sensory needs -Maximize student independence -Work as part of a team -Understand the IEP process -Maintain appropriate records and data -Have excellent interpersonal skills -Individualize instruction for the needs of each student -Work with students with a wide variety of needs -Know UEB and Nemeth Code -Cover all areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum -Work as a partner with parents, staff, and coworkers -Complete Functional Vision and Learning Media Assessments -Focus on both short and long-term travel goals Qualifications: -California Credential as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired with preferred additional credential of Clinical Rehabilitative Services: Orientation and Mobility -Will consider applicants with the ability to transfer TVI credentials from out of state -TVI Interns are welcome and will be hired on the intern salary schedule If you're looking for meaningful work where you can make a lasting impact in students' lives while being part of a supportive, mission-driven team, we'd love to hear from you!
