Summary:
Brahmin Leather Works is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to unload delivery shipments and compare packing lists to purchase orders to ensure accurate deliveries. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is also responsible for appropriately packaging and shipping our products which meet Brahmin standards. This position is under the direction of the Factory Supervisor and resides in-person at our Corporate Headquarters in Fairhaven, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute shipping documentation, keeping the CSR team informed of shipped items and repairs
- Create shipping labels and coordinate shipments through UPS, FedEx, and DHL
- Manage employee package deliveries and communicate pickup instructions and next steps
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping area, including breaking down boxes for recycling
- Keep detailed shipping records, including statements of origin, shipping costs, products shipped, and delivery dates
- Resolve shipping and customer-related issues promptly to improve warehouse and dispatch efficiency
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle packages. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Ability to read and write English.
Basic math and computer skills are required.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Keep work area safe, clean, and efficient.
Be organized and determined to meet deadlines.
2-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
