As we continue to pursue new goals, it's an exciting time to join the Bragg team. We are currently hiring a Crane Operator in our Woods Cross, UT branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Hydraulic Cranes: Safely operate Swing and Fixed Cab hydraulic cranes to hoist materials ranging from 20 to 100 tons.
- Crane Planning & Safety: Develop basic crane lift plans to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with foremen and superintendents to align daily crane operations with project needs.
- Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of cranes and vehicles, including pre- and post-trip checks.
- Material Handling: Load and verify materials for accuracy prior to transport.
- Compliance: Operate vehicles in accordance with company policies and all applicable state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, 3 years as a Crane Operator.
- Safety Knowledge: Safe and knowledgeable experience lifting and hoisting material.
- Certifications: NCCCO certification, valid Class A driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10: Possess OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain after hiring.
Work Environment
- Travel: Must be able to travel periodically.
- Location: Must be able to commute to Woods Cross, UT branch.
- Physical Conditions: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 40 pounds is required. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to wind, rain, ambient temperatures such as extreme heat and cold, wet and humid conditions, dust, and toxic/caustic chemicals. Works at heights of up to 120' on piers or barges. Exposed to high levels of constant noise.
