Overtime Status: Non- Exempt

Braen Supply, the premiere landscape, masonry, and hardware building supplier in the greater tri-state area, is currently seeking a hardworking Yard Worker who is able to work at between all of our locations (Haledon, Randolph & Wanaque).

This position may be subjected to seasonal layoffs. This is considered a safety- sensitive position subjected to the Company’s Controlled Substance and Alcohol Policy.

We are a safety minded company and expect the successful candidate to be as well. This position is hourly, non-exempt from overtime. Overtime is paid after 40 hours are worked each week. Hours of work are will vary.

Expectations/ Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Safely operate a forklift and/or bucket loader
• Provide friendly customer service
• Accurately utilized a tape measure
• Correctly and safely load customer’s order
• Unload/sort incoming inventory
• Accurately compile products for delivery
• Assist with yard maintenance/cleaning i.e. sweeping, shoveling, general labor duties
• Be able to lift up to 100 lbs unassisted
• Experience with masonry, landscape and hardware products is preferred but not required
• Other duties will be added once candidate becomes familiar with the operations of the business

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position
• Hours of work are generally 7:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays.
• Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Periodical exposure to high levels of noise, grease and dust

Physical Demands:

• Perform all job-related functions in all weather conditions
• Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Repetitive stooping, bending, crouching, lifting as required to perform duties
• Ability to lift/carry at least 100 pounds unaccompanied
• Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Travel:

• Position will require work to be performed in all current and future Braen Supply locations (Haledon, NJ, Randolph, NJ & Wanaque, NJ) based on scheduling demands

Pay: $18.00-$23.00/Hour
