Safety Sensitive Position

Braen Stone Industries, the leading supplier of construction materials including stone, sand, asphalt, septic materials, recycled materials and agricultural limestone, is currently seeking a Night Shift Equipment Operator for our Sparta Quarry team.

We are a safety minded company and expect the successful candidate to be as well. This position is hourly, non-exempt from overtime. Overtime is paid after 8 hours are worked each day. After a probationary period of sixty (60) days, the employee will be required to join Local #472. Medical/Dental/Vision benefits are provided through Local #472.

Expectations:

• Operate various heavy equipment, including but not limited to dozers, scrapers, loaders, excavators, front loaders/back hoes to move aggregate related materials
• Operate heavy equipment to load, unload materials
• Inspect equipment/machinery to maintain safe daily operations
• Complete miscellaneous jobs according to business needs

Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes:

• Ability to establish effective working relationships with fellow employees and supervisors
• Must be safety minded

Physical Demands:

• Daily checking of equipment/machinery for pre-shift compliance
• Standing for long periods of time, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouch/crawl
• Routine pushing/pulling when operating hand controls
• Minimal to light level of lifting is occasionally required
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Hours of work are generally 4pm to 4am Monday through Friday (subject to change
• Saturday work will be required
• Seasonal lay-offs are a possibility

Pay: $26.65 - $27.65/ hour

Night Shift Differential: $1.50/Hour

Sign- On Bonus
