What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN/Med Tech position at Braemar Assisted Living at Medford?
We are looking for reliable LPN's (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for our assisted living residents in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of the director of wellness or charge nurse. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. For LPN's not familiar with Assisted Living settings, there is no major wound care treatment in this facility.
Responsibilities
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, and assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
Skills
- Proven experience as LPN or similar role (At this time, we are currently accepting new nursing graduates.)
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Successful completion of LPN license program is a must

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
