- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized models, to recover and transport vehicles.
- Perform vehicle recovery towing using appropriate techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to prepare vehicles for transport.
- Secure cargo properly following cargo securement protocols to prevent accidents during transit.
- Load and unload vehicles carefully, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks with manual transmission or automatic systems.
- Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, incidents, and vehicle conditions for accountability.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate timely service delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or mechanic work related to vehicle mechanics for truck drivers.
- Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving and flatbed towing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic vehicle troubleshooting skills.
- Skilled in conflict management to handle challenging situations professionally.
