What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cheerleading Coach ST 2026-27 (Football/Basketball) position at Bradwell Institute?
Job Goal: The position is responsible for instructing and coaching students to develop skills and the ability to excel in the assigned sport. A successful candidate will be able to contribute to the education program as a whole and to the growth of students involved in athletics so that they are successfully competitive.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Professional Georgia Teaching Certificate
- Exceptional teaching ability that is documented in references from immediate supervisors
- The ability to work successfully with other professionals. Proven organizational skills, effective oral and written communication skills.
- Prior coaching experience preferred.
- Understanding of GHSA rules and regulations governing cheerleading
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prompt and regular attendance.
· Provides and use appropriate teaching strategies for cheerleading.
· Effectively communicates with parents and the community as appropriate.
· Performs all duties of the head cheerleading coach.
· Works cooperatively with the Administration.
· Performs all other tasks as assigned by the Principal and/or the Superintendent of Schools.
Physical Requirements:
Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds as needed to move objects.
Terms of Employment:
Salary shall be paid consistent on the System’s approved salary schedule. Length of work year and hours of employment shall be established by the system.
